How to use Stonegreement

What Stonegreement is

Stonegreement gets a document signed. An estimate, a change order, an NDA, a subcontractor agreement — you write it or upload it, send it, and the person signs on their phone. No printer, no scanner, no “can you send that back as a PDF”.

Every document is attached to a contact, a company, or a job, so the signed copy lands somewhere sensible instead of in your downloads folder.

Step by step

   Start a document

   Open Stonegreement and create one. The list is sorted by who it is with rather than what you called it, because that is how you will come looking for it.

   Write it, or bring your own

   Type the document out, or describe what you need in the chat beside it and let FieldStone draft it — it will also read a draft back to you and point at the parts you left blank. If your lawyer already gave you the wording, upload that instead and skip the writing entirely.

   Say who is signing

   Pick the contact, company, or job it belongs to. That is also how FieldStone knows which phone number to send it to — and the number is locked to the document from that moment, so the code that arrives proves it is them, not just that somebody has a phone.

   Put the fields where they go

   On an uploaded document, drop the boxes onto the page: signature, initials, a date, a checkbox, a line of text, a longer answer. Mark each one as something you fill in beforehand or something they complete at signing.

   Send it — or hand them your phone

   Sending texts them a link. If you are standing in their kitchen, show the QR code instead and they sign on their own phone there and then. Same document, same trail, no waiting.

   What they see

   They open the link, get a code by text, type it in, fill anything you left for them, and tick that they agree. Someone who has signed with you before still needs a fresh code every single time — a saved signature saves them drawing it again, not proving who they are.

   It files itself

   Once signed, the document is sealed with its trail — who opened it, when, from where — and dropped into StoneBox under the counterparty’s name. If they are on FieldStone too, they get their own filed copy at the same time.

   If they want a change

   They can decline instead of signing, and say why. You are told, the wording is yours to edit again, and you send a fresh one — the version they turned down stays on the record rather than being written over.
