What the app is for
When you run on calls and texts all day, it is easy to lose track of who said what and who is still waiting on you. The FieldStone app keeps every call and text with a customer in one place and pulls the important parts to the top, like what you promised, what is booked, and who you still need to get back to.
So you can do all of that from your phone while you are out in the field. The app is still in beta, so you install it through TestFlight, Apple’s app for trying out apps before they reach the App Store. This tutorial walks you through getting it, then shows you around.
Step by step
- 1
Install TestFlight
Open the App Store on your iPhone, search for TestFlight, and install it. It is free and made by Apple. You only need to do this once.✈TestFlightAppleGet - 2
Open your invite
We send you an invite link by text or email. Tap it on your phone and it opens TestFlight straight to FieldStone. If you were given a code instead, open TestFlight, tap Redeem, and type it in.FieldStone inviteYou’re invited to test FieldStone. Tap to open in TestFlight:testflight.apple.com/join/… - 3
Download FieldStone
On the FieldStone page in TestFlight, tap Install (or Update when a newer beta is out). When it finishes, tap Open. The app also lands on your home screen like any other.TestFlightFieldStoneRun your business from your phoneInstallWHAT TO TEST - 4

The home screen is your contacts, grouped into Leads, Customers, and Business. The card up top shows your next appointment. Tap anyone to open them.Contacts12 total · tap a contact to callNOWMorning estimatesLEADSAAvery LaneNo numberBBeau Rivers(555) 014-2207DDana Park(555) 014-8839Call - 6
The call bar
The bar floating at the bottom is how you get around. From left to right: recent calls, email, the big Call button (opens the dialer), messages, and search.CallRecents · Email · Call · Messages · Search - 7
Make a call
Tap Call to ring a customer, or open their page and call from there. Every call is saved with that customer, so you always have the full history of who you talked to and when. Calls go out from your business number, so customers see your business, not your personal cell.ContactLLakeside Remodeling(555) 014-6120RECENT ACTIVITYCallMessageEdit contactIncoming callThu, May 7 · 10:14 PM · 0:03Incoming callThu, May 7 · 12:20 PM · 0:42 - 8
Text a customer
Open Messages to see every text thread. When a conversation gets long, the app keeps a short running summary at the bottom so the things that matter stay on top, like what is booked and what is still open. It is the same conversation you see on the web, so nothing falls through the cracks between your phone and your desk.JJordan(555) 014-3390Thanks, that works for me.I’ll send the quote over today.Incoming call · 0:12Apr 9Scheduling1 new message since this summaryCustomer sent an image.Type a message - 9
Capture a voice note
Tap the mic in the top corner to record a quick voice note, like a recap after a visit, a reminder, or a measurement. Your notes are saved for you, and you can ask questions about them later.Voice recordingSee allLinking to a contact0:00Tap to record - 10
StoneBox and Settings
The StoneBox icon holds files you can share with customers, like photos, quotes, and paperwork. The gear opens Settings, where you manage your account and sign out.StoneBoxSETTINGSAccountNotificationsSign out
That is everything. Install through TestFlight, sign in, and every call and text stays with you, with the important things pulled to the top wherever the work takes you.
